I never had the need for New York local Internet because I was rarely at home. When my sister asked if she could move in with me, I knew that was the only thing that I would have to get because of her two kids. She promised they would not be there long, but I was actually thrilled to have them stay. I knew that the kids would want to have online access to keep in touch with their friends and play games, so I told her I would make sure it was ready before they even got there.
I had no idea which company to choose though, so I did some research from my office connection. I was able to find a website that had all of the information that I needed, and I was even able to arrange the installation of the service from there too. I use the Internet at work for business purposes, but I really don’t have a need for it beyond that. I don’t stream videos, I don’t play games, and I don’t have any social media profiles. The difference though is that I am nearly 45 while the kids are almost teens.
I knew that they would want to do all of that and probably more, so I did my homework to make sure that the one I got was sufficient for their needs. When they moved in a few weeks later, everything was set up for them. Both kids got their own room, and my sister was beyond grateful. We spent a lot of time together those first few weeks, and I actually got to see the benefit of having a high speed Internet connection. We must have watched at least a dozen movies those first few weeks, and I think I am going to keep the service even when they move out, which hopefully won’t be for a long time!
